Trött tröttare tröttast – Tired more tired most tired

I have been very tired in recent months. I was sick for four months and started working again in June. Only a couple of hours a day, then four until I was in full time after a few weeks. Every day after work I have been very tired. Eaten, watched TV and fell asleep before even nine o’clock in the evening. I’ve only been out a couple of times on photo tours, or it’s just been a bit of a photo from where I live.

I’m still very tired and powerless, but hope I’ll be more excited soon. Have refused a three-day cruise with the trade union to Poland, where it includes 2 Christmas tables with free alcoholic drinks, overnight accommodation in hotels with three breakfast buffets and Christmas market. My goal is to be “normal” so I can cope with the most common chores at home AND to come back and shoot again! 🙂 I have at least the blog to help me with fun work. In the meantime, you will be pleased with photos from my photo archive. Just want to explain a little …

John – I went to high school with a guy who has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (“CFS”). He had to quit working (he was a freelance journalist) as he had no stamina to keep doing his job, even though most of his “beat reporting involved covering bands and then writing reviews or stories about them after attending the concert(s). He’s been retired now quite a few years, so this might have happened when he was only in his mid-50s. He sleeps a good part of the day now. Also some people with sleep apnea have poor quality sleep – they actually wake up dozens of times during their sleep and never have deep REM sleep so that they are constantly suffering from sleep deprivation. A friend’s husband had this issue and got a CPAP machine to help him have uninterrupted rest and he is doing much better. Have you been tested for either of these issues John?

I have called my doctor for take sample, but no time until December 13. My blood values have always been good before, even when I felt bad. I don’t feel good to be at home, I like to work..

OK, I was thinking of those two things John and something else that jumped out at me this morning was Lyme Disease. You are out in the country taking photos and riding your bike – you had pictures doing that earlier this Summer. Here in Michigan, we had a rainy Spring and people could not cut their lawn for days and days right when the grass grows like crazy. So we were advised to stay out of high grass not only for mosquitoes but ticks (we had record numbers of both ticks and moquitoes this year). We had a weatherman on one of the TV channels and years ago he was in northern Michigan and bitten by a tick. I had never heard of Lyme Disease before Rob Kress … he had to quit his job as he was so tired he said he could not get out of bed in the morning and he slept all the time – no energy. He didn’t remember being bitten by a tick, and said after that if he had a tick bite he would have just thought it was a mosquito bite or black-fly bite that got infected. It looks like a bullseye. But he didn’t return to work – ever.. Could you have been bitten? I don’t want to scare you, but if your blood values are good and you don’t have a low blood count or mononucleosis, then those are other options. Hopefully you figure out the problem soon and feel like yourself again. You can delete this comment if you want since it discusses your health – I can’t send you a link about Rob Kress and his chronic fatigue syndrome due to Lyme Disease as sometimes you (and others) can’t open links from the U.S., so I cut-and-pasted it below or just Google “Robb Kress -Lyme Disease)”. He was a popular weather forecaster and EVERYONE wanted to know what happened to this happy-go-lucky guy and so the station did a story on him to explain Lyme Disease … here is what Rob Kress said about his problem and this happened back in the early 90s by the way:

            WEATHERCASTER KRESS BATTLES TIRING ILLNESSES

Published on 12/12/93, Article 6 of 6 found.

“It gets so bad — and I’m not ashamed to say this — that I’ll wake up
and sit on the edge of the bed and literally cry my eyes out for 15
minutes trying to figure out why I didn’t have the energy to get up and
take a shower. What is going on? Why does everybody have more energy
than I do?” Rob Kress told me this past week, discussing how Lyme
disease and chronic fatigue syndrome have floored him, knocking him off
            WXYZ-TV for two months.

No, I have actually never been bitten by a tick, they don’t like me, I think!😁 I always go in high grass with shorts in summers and never had a single tick on me, what I know, and I think I would have noticed it. The mosquitoes we have in Sweden do not carry any dangerous diseases either, but I’ve really been bitten a lot of either mosquitoes or something else, which I have not seen because it has scratching on my legs and had little swellings like after mosquitoes.

Your blood is not sweet! (Just kidding!) Some people get mosquito bites more than others. My boss goes to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan and they have lots of black flies. He has a special type of bug repellent he uses as he’ll get hundreds of bites otherwise. The tick were an idea due to the fatigue. We have had several issues with West Nile Virus and in the 80s, it killed off many of the Blue Jays and Cardinals in the metropolitan Detroit area. We went to my grandmother’s house for four days and came home and there were many of them laying dead in the yard. It was upsetting … people were told to call the Department of Natural Resources if any dead birds were found to be tested, so I had to leave them there for them to pick me up. It was sad.
